Xperience Cognizant 2k12.. When we heard about going there.. I was expecting some series of one sided sessions by experienced professionals working in there from years.. And they explaining about the greatness of Cognizant just like every company does.. Thought I should remember all that stuff.. Come back to my college and being an ambassador need to say the same things in my college too..
And the things turned about to be different slowly after I went there.. We were waiting badly as everyone was excited and was dubious of how things are going to be in a place where we hardly know anyone.. We need to spend three days with almost complete strangers and we heard that it would be a lifetime experience from our seniors.. Heights of excitement there was. And the conclave started off with great levels of hospitality by which we were really impressed..:)
Then comes the first day.. Where we had some good talks from Sowri Santhakrishnan, Sukumar from which we could understand a brief overview of things which we are going to understand by experiencing but not by theoretical talks in the next two days of the conclave. The most amazing part was the query answering session.. We having 1000’s questions in mind entered the MPEZ campus, and here was a chance to ask them to the right persons.. Whether the questions were relevant or not, everyone asked those mind perturbing questions with which they were living not to know how to get out, and the way they answered the questions with quite a lot of patience, though few of them were completely irrelevant it was just great.. There started the actual experience of cognizant for us, their dedication, perspective and clarity even on trivial issues. I thanked God for giving me such an opportunity at the right place, where I can clear off, those 1000’s of questions in my mind regarding which is the company to be chosen, what are the parameters which I should keep in mind other than the package stuff, in choosing a company.
We had all the team activities which were fun seeking but at the same time had many attributes in the lower levels of abstraction so as to build and check the team work, adaptability, tenacity, innovation and other capabilities of us, letting us know that these are the things which cognizant is famous for and which cognizant believes in. They also danced and played with us, showing their fun loving attitude, the work culture of cognizant where people are not just burdened with work but are valued as humans with their personal lives and interest.. The basic ideology of cognizant, “When people are happy and left free, they can do far better than when dominated and held under control” And then still making sure about our perspective, if we got the things, the way they wanted us to, they had a presentation session regarding various topics of checking what all we understood, rather call it experienced in there..
The way they organized the conclave, the way they treated us with great levels of hospitality, cognizant’s right understanding and implementation of every detail may it be trivial, the complete perfectness is what we are exposed to in those three days, showed the actual business traits of them in servicing the customers. There was a lot more than what it seemed to be.. All praises to Cognizant.. We really experienced Cognizant J
At the start of the conclave, I was really waiting for the comparative analysis.. And I was desperate to know why is cognizant growing at such a pace, why they are spending this lot on us.. And at the end I wasn’t sure if I got their actual perspective and work strategy.. But people when speak out the things understand a lot for themselves and that is what happened now J Awesome is a word which is not at all sufficient to express my present fervor.. J Thanks a lot cognizant, thanks for this opportunity J And surely you have a very perfect name, which I believe is the open secret of your success.. J
And finally, what all I want to do to my College and for Cognizant.. J I just would love to share what all I understand, feel, experience about Cognizant to whole lot of people in a better organized way like the way cognizant did, rather than just saying them , I want to make thing better because, the presentations and saying are always forgotten and don’t strike them the way it is to be. I am not sure of how much better I can make everyone understand… But I will put on a strategy soon J And I rather could see the basic stages of approach to clients (Requirements, developing, testing, feedback) in the conclave too :P (too much of thinking). I would love to make such a kind of thing in my college..:-) Wishing myself goodluck :D !!!
